Bulk Konjac Flour, Food Grade

Konjac flour supplier sourcing E425(i) grade and fine/purified flour (KGM 80% or 90%) from vetted China factories. MOQ 500 kg, Shanghai export.

We source bulk konjac flour from vetted producing factories in China's konjac-growing regions for buyers making shirataki noodles, konjac rice, jelly and gluten-free bakery blends. Konjac flour is a coarser, less refined form of konjac glucomannan, offered as E425(i) grade or as fine/purified flour depending on what the finished product needs. Konjac Bio Limited is a sourcing company: we do not operate a mill, and every lot ships with the producing factory's own documentation.

Grades and formats

What we can source

Grade / format Typical specification Typical use
Konjac flour, E425(i) grade >= 75% carbohydrate (EU specification); viscosity minimum 3,000 mPa·s at 25 °C, 1% solution (EU specification) Konjac rice, base blends for noodles, meat analogue binder, pet food, where cost and swelling capacity matter more than clarity
Fine / purified konjac flour, KGM 80% or 90% KGM 80% or 90% (per producer spec sheet, confirm per lot); lighter colour, fewer fibre specks Shirataki noodle plants, konjac jelly, vegan gel foods and gluten-free bakery blends where texture and appearance matter

Applications

Konjac flour is a working input, not a retail product, and buyers choose the grade to match the finished item:

  • Shirataki and konjac noodle plants use fine/purified flour for a cleaner colour and consistent gel; see shirataki and konjac noodles.
  • Konjac rice production commonly runs on E425(i) grade or fine/purified flour depending on the target texture; see konjac rice.
  • Konjac jelly and drinkable jelly use fine/purified flour for clarity and set strength.
  • Vegan gel foods and gluten-free bakery blends use konjac flour as a binder and moisture-retention aid alongside other flours.
  • Meat analogue binder and pet food applications typically use E425(i) grade, where cost per kilogram of carbohydrate content is the priority.

For a higher and more consistent KGM content than flour offers, see konjac glucomannan powder.

How we source it

Konjac Bio Limited is a sourcing and trading company. We do not operate a mill; we work with vetted producing factories in konjac-growing regions of China, including Yunnan, Hubei, Sichuan, Guizhou and Shaanxi. For each inquiry we confirm the required grade and mesh with the buyer, then match the order to a producing factory that can meet that specification and quantity, and manage sampling, contracting and export on the buyer's behalf.

Packaging, MOQ and lead time

Standard packaging is a 25 kg kraft paper bag or fibre drum with an inner PE liner, palletised for export. Minimum order is 500 kg per grade; mixed-grade orders can be arranged on request. Lead time is confirmed on the proforma invoice (PI), depending on grade, quantity and the producing factory's schedule. Export is FOB Shanghai as standard, with CIF to destination port, EXW and DAP available on request. See konjac wholesale for the general ordering process across our product range.

Quality documents and testing

Each shipment ships with a specification sheet, a Certificate of Analysis (COA) issued by the producing factory, a packing list and a commercial invoice. Certificates for each lot are available on request from the producing factory. We recommend buyers confirm grade, mesh size and microbiological limits against the COA for their own market before shipment, and treat every figure on this page as EU specification or producer spec-sheet data to confirm per lot rather than a guarantee.

Private label and custom specification

Buyers who need a specific grade, mesh size or moisture target for a particular process can request a custom specification; the producing factory will confirm feasibility and lead time before a PI is issued. For a full walkthrough of grades and how to place a wholesale order, see the konjac flour wholesale guide or the konjac flour overview.

Q&A

Frequently asked questions

01 What is the difference between konjac flour and konjac glucomannan powder?
Konjac flour is a less refined, coarser product, offered as E425(i) grade (>= 75% carbohydrate, EU specification) or fine/purified flour (KGM 80% or 90%, per producer spec sheet). Konjac glucomannan powder goes through further purification for a higher, more consistent grade such as KGM 95%. Confirm which your process needs; see konjac glucomannan powder for the higher-purity option.
02 What mesh size is available?
The standard options are 80 mesh (100% pass) or 120 mesh (95% pass), with fine/purified flour usually milled finer than E425(i) grade. Producers also offer 40-140 mesh runs on request; confirm feasibility before placing a PI.
03 Can I get a sample before ordering?
Yes. Small samples are available and the buyer pays courier cost.
04 What is the minimum order quantity?
500 kg per grade is the standard MOQ. Mixed-grade orders below that per grade can sometimes be arranged; ask when you submit your inquiry.
05 Is konjac flour gluten-free and vegan?
Yes, konjac flour is gluten-free and plant-derived, which is why it is used in gluten-free bakery blends and vegan gel foods as a market positioning label. This is a compositional fact, not a health claim.
06 Do you hold certificates?
Konjac Bio Limited does not hold certificates itself; we are a sourcing company. Certificates for each lot are available on request from the producing factory, along with the shipment's COA.
